How long is the ST waiting list now?
My lad decided at Christmas to register in his own name and had a mail toward the end of the season saying he was two years out

He has had enough and decided to fuck it off, so cancelled, he was 800 on the list

Seems he is not the only one that is not seeing the 'iconic' stadium as quite so 'iconic'

Is there a reason why we give such good seats to the away support?

Re: How long is the ST waiting list now?
I'm right at back of East Stand Upper tier, right over the half way line.

To my surprise, the view is actually really good. You certainly feel closer than Newcastle away section for example.

And the noise is if anything (For the upper tier) louder than at Upton Park.

I'd rather be further towards the front of upper tier or the back of the lower tier but I got in too late so that's my own fault.

But... there are three kids (11 to 15 I'm guessing) behind me who are utter idiots and their dads don't say a word as they babble on endlessly for the whole of the match. My daughter who is only 8 talks less shit than them and actually watches the match. Not sure why parents bring their kids when they clearly have little interest in the actual match itself.

Dicksie... when you used to stand in the North Bank (if you've ever stood) did you used to give it a mark out of 10??

I remember a great 9/10 when I was stuck in the CR in 86 v Spurs....

My opinion on this is that it feels like you're going to an away game in a really impressive stadium but as big and flash as it is, it's nothing like our proud home.

It isn't ready for us, not really fit for our use.

Re: How long is the ST waiting list now?
You get what you pay for. I'd give my seat an 8 out of 10. I'm pleased with it.

However, I plan to move to the East Stand Lower (central area) next season as the views there (especially towards the back) are superb. I stood there to get a feel for it a few games back.

OTB, of course. I think that if you surveyed our fans; most of them would be more than content with their seat/view. Of course, they wouldn't be so happy with blokes arguing and smacking the fuck out of each other but that's another matter entirely.

Still, the SHORT SHORTERS on here love a camp old scream-up and they reckon that most of our fans are going to pack it in soon and we'll have an empty ground soon enough... In fact, they desperately want this to happen.

Absolutely no chance of that. Anyone with half a brain knows that.

Re: How long is the ST waiting list now?
I'm not getting at anything. I'm just surprised that you've only spoken to people that don't like it, when in reality of course it's not that hated. I'd say a large majority like it - but also that a large minority are having problems. Even on here, where the loudest/most repeated voices are the ones who were always going to hate it, I'd say it's more liked than not.

I've noticed a number of people that can't go/haven't been (for whatever reason, in real life and on here) say it's shit though. Which is weird.

sulli, Chelmsford - I'm in a similar position in a £289 band 5 in 244. The views by the corner flags are the best in the stadium. Someone in the same row 4 blocks away is paying £899 for their season ticket for a shittier view that's further away from the pitch.

No LOLmas, it's about atmosphere and feeling close to the action.

Something you'd know nothing about.

I thought after last night you'd give up obsessing over me, but clearly your obsession knows no bounds and you're back again to make yourself look a cunt again.

Re: How long is the ST waiting list now?
I think it depends where you've ended up in the ground.

I reckon if I was anywhere other than around where I am I would think it was terrible and I would be doing an Ern.

I'd HATE to be in the upper tier, not for me at all.

Lets be honest though NS. You say you cant be bothered to go to games and then make up that you went. Man Utd in the cup springs to mind.

I'm right at the back of the Bobby Moore stand row 65, was worried with the view when I got the season tickets, but it turns out in my opinion that you get a much better view than in the lower stands.

My heart actually goes out to you Dicksie son... don't suppose it's been easy after beating the Hotpoint drum like a demented Keith Moon for the best part of 2 years only to find when it comes to the massive solo at the end of the gig that you've taken far too many Elephant tranqualisers and have fainted on your stool and shit your pants...

Naaaah I haven't been... and don't intend too... 3 or 4 away games to keep me toe in ... everyone I know that I have spoke to face to face have said it's shit...
